4. Discovering olive oil

The cultivation of the olive tree and the pressing of the olives in the Marche region have been rooted for centuries. The Extra Virgin Olive Oil from the Marches has a slightly fruity taste, basically sweet, with bitter and spicy notes. Its value and great organoleptic qualities are the result of a tradition that has very ancient origins. The Venetian nobles were already great admirers of the 'oil of the Marca', resold at a higher price by virtue of the 'aroma and flavour'. The quality and typicality of the oil from the Marches are the result of the combination of various factors: the variety used, the particular climate of the Marches and the ancient agronomic techniques and the milling tradition, which sees the coexistence of cutting-edge production realities with more traditional systems. You can taste them with experts on site or in the mills selected by us. Info and reservations: Galluzzi oil mill +393381530832

5. Ancona Herb Market

The herb market in Ancona is an iron and cast iron structure built in the mid-twenties of the twentieth century by shipyard workers using in part the metal of the Austrian ships sold to Italy in compensation for damages during the First World War, with the precise purpose of covering the already existing square. The building was and is still used as a covered city market where you can find everything from freshly caught fish to vegetables and typical products. A journey through the flavors and history of the capital.
