4. Discovering olive oil

Olive cultivation and olive pressing in the Marche region have been rooted for centuries. Extra virgin olive oil from the Marche region has a slightly fruity flavor, generally sweet, with bitter and spicy notes. Its value and excellent organoleptic qualities are the result of a tradition with ancient origins. Venetian nobles were already great admirers of the "Marca oil," which they sold at a higher price due to its aroma and flavor. The quality and uniqueness of the Marche oil are the result of a combination of various factors: the variety used, the unique Marche climate, ancient agronomic techniques, and the olive oil mill tradition, which sees cutting-edge production facilities coexist with more traditional facilities. You can taste them with experts on site or at our selected mills. Visit the olive groves and taste. Information and reservations: Colle Nobile 0731 267079 San Marcello

5. Ancona Herb Market

Ancona's herb market is an iron and cast iron structure built in the mid-1920s by shipyard workers, partly using metal from Austrian ships ceded to Italy as compensation for World War I. The building was and still is used as a covered city market, where you can find everything from freshly caught fish to vegetables and traditional products. A journey through the flavors and history of the capital. (Currently under renovation)
